The soulful sounds of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, and Charles Bradley are scheduled to take over the world famous Apollo Theater for a live concert series billed as, “The Daptone Super Soul Revue,” taking place on Dec. 4-6.

As part of the prestigious theater’s upcoming Fall-Winter season of programming, announced Monday during a special preview event at the venue, the three night event will also mark the recording of the group’s label, Daptone Records, debut live album, “The Daptone Soul Revue, Live at the Apollo.”

In addition to “The Daptone Super Soul Revue,” legendary singer, actor and activist Harry Belafonte and former New York City Mayor David N. Dinkins will be among the selection of panelist for “Apollo Uptown Hall: The Harlem/South Africa Connection” as part of the “Africa Now! Festival” on October 9-12. Followed by the induction of legendary jazz musician, Louis Armstrong into the theater’s illustrious Walk of Fame to kick off “New Orleans Jazz in Harlem,” on Nov. 7 and 8.
