A man suspected of a bank robbery in Merced, California, was arrested after large amounts of money allegedly fell out of his pants during questioning.
Police say Shawn Lee Canfield, 25, walked into a Chase bank on Saturday afternoon and handed a teller a card demanding cash.
Authorities said the teller handed Canfield $2,748 and he ran away, ABC30 reports.
The teller gave police a clear description of the suspect, including a very distinguishing facial tattoo. Investigators soon found a man matching the description.
When police approached Canfield, he appeared to be shoving money into his trousers, according to the Modesto Bee.
The teller was brought to the scene and positively identified Canfield as the alleged robber.
Canfield was brought to police headquarters.
As he was walking up the stairs, money started falling out of his pants -- $2,414 to be exact.
After police questioning, Canfield stood up and an additional $334 fell out of his pants, KVOR.com reports.
At that point, Canfield confessed to the robbery, but said he needed the money to visit his mother in Colorado, according to ABC News.
Canfield was charged with robbery and burglary and booked into the Merced County Jail.
