Shawn Mendes Will Perform At The 2016 Billboard Music Awards

We'll be needing stitches.

Get ready to swoon, because HuffPost can exclusively reveal that Shawn Mendes will perform at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

The 17-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter built a fan base singing songs on Vine and eventually landed a record deal. Even if you're unfamiliar with him, we're betting you've heard his song "Stiches," which was pretty much everywhere last year. Mendes will make time for the Billboard Awards, hosted by Ludacris and Ciara, after he finishes the European leg of his world tour.

In addition to Mendes, the Go-Go's will perform and celebrate the 35th anniversary of their hit "We Got the Beat," while Joe Jonas' DNCE are also scheduled to take the stage at this year's awards.

You can also count on Pink to heat things up, with her first live performance of her new song "Just Like Fire" from the "Alice Through the Looking Glass" soundtrack.

The Billboard Music Awards air May 22 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
