Shawn Mendes Aims To Reduce Self-Harm With #NotesFromShawn

A little note can go a long way.

Shawn Mendes is out to spread a message of hope and positivity, and he’s getting some help from his fans.

The "Life of the Party" singer has relaunched his #NotesFromShawn campaign with DoSomething.org encouraging people to leave notes with positive messages wherever they can for others in need of a confidence boost.

The project, which Mendes also promoted last year, is back to help increase self-esteem and reduce thoughts of self-harm. The singer (and Taylor Swift's "1989" tour opener) explained on Instagram that he has seen the effects of depression through his friends and fans and encouraged his 3.9 million followers to leave a positive note for someone who may need it.
