An Oklahoma woman is accused of slashing the corpse of her boyfriend's deceased ex-girlfriend.
Authorities say that Shaynna Sims, 26, “crudely cut and removed a toe” and sliced both breasts from the woman's corpse. The suspect now faces charges regarding those allegations, in addition to five previous felony counts surrounding the incident.
News On 6 describes what police found at the May 1 funeral:
Sims was arrested after the funeral. Police said they found her with a folding knife and hair that matched the hair on Tabatha's corpse. They also found scissors on Sims, a box cutter knife and "various pieces of makeup,” reportedly from the body, a report says.
Police also say that Sims stole the woman's shoes, according to KTXS.
The additional violations of the corpse were discovered when the body was taken for cremation, according to documents filed by Tulsa County District Attorney.
"We are outraged and sickened," the victim's sister-in-law told News On 6 in a statement. "Every time we think this nightmare is over, something else comes out. It's a never-ending, evil nightmare."
