SheaMoisture Hold & Shine Moisture Mist Refreshes Your Curls Without Adding Frizz

The Product Every Naturally Curly-Haired Girl Needs To Tame Frizz

Getting reacquainted with the way my naturally curly hair grows from my scalp since I've stopped straightening it hasn't been easy. One of my biggest frustrations (besides detangling hair knots and people petting my Afro) has been dealing with frizz.

If I fail to properly cover my hair with a satin bonnet before bed, my tight coils frizz up immediately. Any attempts at refreshing my 'do usually result in me brushing out my curls and surrendering with a turban -- a total waste of a salon appointment.

During a beauty run to Target, I spotted a hair care product I've seen in many natural hair videos on YouTube. SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist is a hair mist with lofty promises, including hydrating dry locks, fluffing flat curls and adding impeccable shine.

I thought, "How in the heck is this coconut oil-infused water NOT going to create a frizzy mess?" I bought it anyway and things got interesting...

When I spritzed my hair with this yummy-smelling hair mist, it instantly revived my curls without puffiness to make twisting and braiding less stressful. The coconut and naeem oils also masked odors that seeped in (e.g. cigarette smoke and fragrant foods). These nourishing ingredients even helped to minimize hair breakage, a common issue for women with chemically-untreated hair.

And now that I am wearing waist-long box braids à la Solange Knowles, I reach for this mist to calm my itchy scalp and keep my natural hair moisturized.

Rating: 5 out of 5. This hair mist is a game-changer in the natural hair world.
