Sherrod Brown Releases Third Ad, Spotlights Work To Rescue Auto Industry

Sherrod Brown Compares Himself To A Car In New Ad

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) is out with his third ad, a positive spot highlighting the senator's efforts to rescue the auto industry.

The ad opens with a picture of Brown and a red car, the two of which, as the senator points out, have something in common.

"I'm Sherrod Brown, and this is a Chevy Cruze. We're both from Ohio," he says. He points out that the car was made and assembled in Ohio.

"I'm proud to have led the fight to pass the auto rescue package, helping to protect more than 800,000 Ohio jobs," he adds.

"With Ohio's auto industry on the brink, Sherrod stood up for Ohio jobs and fought to rescue the American auto industry when some were ready to let those jobs vanish," said Sadie Weiner, spokeswoman for the Friends of Sherrod Brown Campaign. "Sherrod's confidence in Ohio workers has never faltered and it never will -- that's why he refused to give up on Ohio's auto industry, and that's a big reason why the nearly 850,000 industry related workers in Lordstown, Toledo, Cleveland and across the state still have jobs today."

Brown's first and second ads were negative spots against his opponent, State Treasurer Josh Mandel (R).
