Four years after moving to Nashville, Tenn., Sheryl Crow is finally letting go of her home in Los Angeles. The singer placed her massive Hollywood Hills compound on the market for $15,950,000 Monday.
Sprawled over 11 acres, Crow's property contains three houses, an infinity pool, hiking trails, camping grounds (that come with a tee pee) and a colorful children's playground.
The main home is a restored Spanish Revival built in 1924 that still contains its original Spanish tiles. It has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a library, wine cellar and music room.
A bridge made of Brazilian ironwood connects the main house to a second building -- a Craftsman-style bungalow built in 1909 that has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.The final home is a cottage that dates back to 1885. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a clawfoot bathtub. Both homes served as guest rooms for Crow's family and friends while she lived in the main home with her two sons.
Crow's home was featured in the design magazine Architectural Digest back in March of 2011 (a sure sign that she was about to list her property, notes Curbed LA). The magazine described her property as "the stuff of California dreams," because it has both ocean and city views and is surrounded by natural trails. Crow herself gushed, "This is an incredibly magical place ... It has the best of everything California has to offer."
The singer is best known for her songs "All I Wanna Do" and "Soak Up The Sun," as well as her cover of Cat Stevens' "The First Cut Is The Deepest" and a duet with Sting for "Always On Your Side." Crow battled breast cancer in 2006, a diagnosis she received just weeks after breaking up with fiance Lance Armstrong. In June of this year, Crow shared that she had a benign brain tumor that didn't require surgery but was causing her to forget the lyrics to her songs. She now lives in Nashville, Tenn. to be near her family, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
