Liza Weil has filed for divorce from Paul Adelstein, her husband of nine years.

Weil, who stars in Shonda Rhimes’ show "How to Get Away With Murder," cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to People. She and Adelstein -- who is best known for his work on "Scandal," "Private Practice" and "Grey's Anatomy" -- wed in October 2006.

According to court docs, the pair separated in January. Weil is requesting joint custody of their five-year-old daughter.

Weil is set to reprise her role as Paris in the upcoming "Gilmore Girls" revival on Netflix. Adelstein is currently appearing in Bravo's "Girlfriends' Guide To Divorce."
