Shondaland’s got a new show coming to town y’all.

“For The People” is a little less melanated than “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” but the plotline bears quite the resemblance to the latter.

We not mad, though.

The trailer for the new ABC show was released on Tuesday, the same day ABC confirmed the rumors that Scandal’s next season would be our last run with the gladiators.

The show, which takes place in Southern District of New York Federal Court in New York City, follows the professional and personal lives of a group of young and ambitious lawyers.

While you may find one familiar face in Anna Deavere Smith, the majority of the cast consists of relatively lesser known actors. Britne Oldford, one of the show’s lead characters, is a Canadian actress who has starred in the Syfy show “Hunters.”

Other central cast members include Lyndon Smith of “Parenthood,” Susannah Flood of “Chicago Fire,” Hope Davis and Ben Rappaport.

For The People” was created by Shondaland’s Paul William Davies and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. It premieres on ABC in the 2017/2018 season.
