Showtime's 'Years Of Living Dangerously' Will Take Viewers To The Front Lines Of Climate Change

WATCH: 'This Is The Biggest Story Of Our Time'

A new teaser for Showtime's documentary series "Years of Living Dangerously" highlights the importance of understanding climate change: "It's about me. It's about you. It's about us."

"This is the biggest story of our time," Executive Producer James Cameron says in a voiceover. The eight-part series, which premieres in April, will "report on the crippling effects of climate change-related weather events and the ways individuals, communities, companies and governments are struggling to find solutions to the biggest threat our world has ever faced," according to the show's website.

Reporting from across the globe, correspondents -- including journalists Thomas Friedman, Chris Hayes and Lesley Stahl and actors like Don Cheadle, Olivia Munn, Matt Damon and many others -- share the stories of people and places impacted by a warming planet.

“We’ll make it exciting,” Cameron said when the show was announced in 2012. “We’ll make it investigative. We’ll bring people the truth. And people are always hungry for the truth.”

Editor's Note: The new teaser clip previously featured at the top of this post has been replaced with the trailer seen above.
