Signs offer great possibilities for inter-cultural communication. The images and text that come together -- especially when two different languages are involved -- can sometimes produce interesting results.

As you may imagine, there's plenty of people on photo-sharing site Flickr who want to share their findings, and some of the best of the bunch come from Latin America.

Some of them are tongue-in-cheek. Others reflect the differences in lifestyle that come along with living in the tropics (sloth-crossing, for example, is more a concern for drivers in Costa Rica than in the United States). Still others can be chalked up to mistranslation.
