Simon Cowell phoned in to "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" yesterday and talked all about his pregnant girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, and their baby on the way.
"I am happy at the moment actually," said Cowell, referring to the drama that went on this summer when Lauren, who was married at the time news came out of her pregnancy, divorced her husband and Cowell's friend, Andrew Silverman. "Lauren and I get along really well and once I got used to the idea [of being a dad] I thought, 'I think this is going to be very good.'"
Cowell and Silverman have yet to officially confirm the sex of their baby but Simon might have let it slip during his interview, telling Seacrest he -- as in, his baby boy -- might make fun of Cowell's British accent.
"Obviously, I would have to make sure the baby has an English accent," the "X Factor" judge joked. "But in all seriousness, I said to Lauren, 'What if I just play me on tape while the baby is sleeping so the baby can hear me and have a British accent and his first words will be, 'You're absolutely useless!'"
When asked if he and Lauren plan to marry, Cowell played coy and replied: "Let's put it this way, I wouldn't expect her to be a single mother."
