On the season premiere of "The Simpsons," Lisa went to arts camp where she met the cast of "Glee" and "Flight of the Conchords." The latter were her arts counselors and sang two songs devoted to being artists in America. The first praised their roles as arbiters of culture and their impact on society. The second retracted everything they said in the first.

Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement played artists living in "Sprooklyn," the artsiest place in Springfield. They told Lisa that following her passion for art could lead to a wonderful life. Her hopes were dashed when she visited them and saw they live off floor tomatoes and make their money wearing pita pockets.
