Siobhan Gorman Leaving The Wall Street Journal -- And Journalism

Top Intelligence Reporter Plans To Leave Journalism

NEW YORK -- Wall Street Journal intelligence correspondent Siobhan Gorman is leaving the paper and joining Brunswick, a global communications firm, according to sources familiar with the move.

Gorman, who joined the Journal in 2007, is a highly regarded reporter on the intelligence beat. She previously covered intelligence and national security for the Baltimore Sun, where her work was part of a leak investigation, and spent seven years at National Journal.

While Gorman won't be reporting in her new role, the position will draw on her years of journalism experience. She'll be working in Brunswick's privacy and data security practice, which the company is currently expanding.

Gorman declined to comment.
