In an ideal world, we would all have the closet of Cher Horowitz from "Clueless." But unfortunately, this dream has yet to become a reality.

If you're anything like us, and your closet is either laughably small or, erm, non-existent, you could benefit from some tips and tricks to utilize your small space.

We trolled Instagram to find the best uses of tiny spaces and get some ideas on how to store clothes in beautiful, functional ways. Here's what we learned:

Not enough hanging space? Get a clothing rack.

If your closet isn't enclosed, add art and lights around your clothes so they feel like a part of the decor.
Make every inch count by adding bins, hanging space, shoe racks and shelving.

Built-in storage is the perfect place to tuck away clothes.

Hide your shoes in sneaky places.
Shallow sliding drawers are great for storing accessories like sunglasses and jewelry.
Even if you don't have a proper closet, you can turn the space under a shelf or desk into hanging room.

Try and find extra storage space anywhere you can -- even in a hallway.
If you don't have a closet door, a curtain on a rod will hide everything just as well.
