'SNL': James Carville Talks Government Shutdown, Being Raised By Eels On Weekend Update (VIDEO)

WATCH: James Carville Talks Gov't Shutdown On 'SNL'

It's hard to beat Bill Hader's impression of eccentric liberal pundit James "Ragin' Cajun" Carville. On this weekend's "Saturday Night Live," Hader broke it out on "Weekend Update" to talk about the budget battle in Congress that nearly led to a government shutdown.

Even though the shutdown was avoided, conservatives are still saying there weren't enough cuts, such as to Planned Parenthood. Carville offered a hilarious analogy:

"You can always leave it to the Republicans to to bring up abortion, Seth. It's their one hit wonder! If the Republican party is Lou Bega, abortion is their "Mambo No. 5."

Carville also reminisced about the last time the government got shut down during the Clinton administration in 1995 (after a brief detour to talk about being raised by eels). He explained that the last shutdown was like an "opera" compared to this one, and offered some ridiculous visuals.

"You had Newt Gingrich hopping around, doing cartwheels on his fat little arms like a Republican 'Kung-Fu Panda'."

Watch the full interview below, including Carville's elaborate plan to sway Rep. John Boehner's opinion in the future involving a black butterfly.
