Tiny Hats War: Did 'SNL' Steal Their Sketch From Tim & Eric? (VIDEO)

The Internet blew up yesterday morning with accusations that "Saturday Night Live" stole the idea for one of their season premiere sketches from comedy duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. The sketch in question, "Ladies Who Lunch," featured a running "tiny hats" gag that is shockingly similar to a 2007 parody ad on Adult Swim's "Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!"

The Comic's Comic and SplitSider have both reported on the feud, which became public on the Internet Sunday morning after tweeters alerted Heidecker of their observation. Now, the hashtag #tinyhatswar has prompted a slew of comments from the Twitter community about whether or not Tim & Eric's idea was stolen on purpose or merely imitated by accident.

Heidecker is trying to rally the Internet to force "SNL" to apologize for the "theft," but was it really a theft? Check out both "tiny hats" sketches below and tell us what you think in the poll at the bottom of the page!
