Snooki Is Using Diet Pills To Lose Weight

In the last few months "Jersey Shore" star Snooki has toned down her over the top image and is looking better.

In April, the 4'9 reality star debuted a slimmed down body courtesy of working out and cutting back on the booze ... or so she claimed.

Yesterday Snooki took to Twitter to credit her new look to the diet pill, Zantrex, of which she is a paid spokesperson

The pint-sized star has been taking Zantrex Fat Burner, a pill taken pre-workout to supposedly maximize fat loss with side effects that can include heart palpitations, anxiety, cold sweats, nausea, diarrhea, increased heart rate and irritability reports The Daily Mail.

While Snooki is looking better than ever -- even tweeting, "LOL so some girl comes up to me n goes "you look like one of those girls from the jersey shows, but you look better." Uhm thanks? Lmao" -- diet pills may not be the best idea, especially for someone who suffered from eating disorders in the past.

In 2010, Snooki confessed that she battled both anorexia and bulimia in high school, at one weighing only 80 lbs.

She told OK! magazine she began skipping meals as a junior in high school because she was very self conscious about cheerleading.

"There were these little freshman girls, and I was scared that these little freshman girls were going to take my spot," she said. " I just started eating salads ... and then I got to a point where I was just eating a cracker a day. I was down to 80 pounds. I almost died."
