Welcome to our "Like An Olympian" series. During the 2014 Sochi Olympics, HuffPost Healthy Living will take a look at lifestyle and fitness lessons from competitors, coaches and former Olympians alike. Here, USA Hockey forward Julie Chu shares what's on her playlist leading up to the games.

1) These songs are just fun. Some have faster beats, some slower, but all are great to sing to and energize me.

· Katy Perry -- "Roar" -- A song that just gets us all pumped up and ready to work hard. We will come out to the ice for warmups to this song.

· Avicii -- "Wake Me Up" -- Another team song we like to warm up to. Starts a bit slow, but when it picks up we are ready to rock.

· Sara Bareilles -- "Brave" -- Great song to sing to and just be in a happy mood.

· Pitch Perfect mash-ups -- We loved this movie and quote it often. The music was awesome and they are songs we all know and can sing to.

2) Great tunes to keep things light and fun! Always great to sing to them. I love working out to country music because I usually can sing along.

· Zac Brown Band -- "Chicken Fried" -- Can't help but smile and do a little jig when this song comes on. So much fun!

· Eric Church -- "Springsteen" -- Another good song that puts me in a light mood to have a great workout.

· Hunter Hayes -- "I Want Crazy" -- What an amazing artist! Love his music. They always have great tunes and great words.

· Luke Bryant -- "I Don't Want This Night To End" -- It's a little slower at times, but when it picks up, it gets me pumped up.

3) These songs are for when I need a bit more intensity and focus. Might listen to them while doing conditioning.

· Macklemore & Ryan Lewis -- "Can't Hold Us" -- Great message and great beat.

· Robin Thicke -- "Blurred Lines" -- Just a great dance song. Great beat and gets us moving.

· P!nk -- "'Cuz I Can" -- Saw her in concert, and she was amazing. Love this one for getting into a focused, intense mood.
