There's a new online dating player in town that hopes to bring social dating to a new level. Jazzed, created by eHarmony, announced their official launch with the goal of making it easier and more fun for singles to socialize and date in a Web 2.0 World.

With over 500,000 members and 250,000 mobile downloads, the site has the critical mass necessary to succeed in the crowded playing field.

How does Jazzed compare to other online dating sites? I sat down with Grant Hosford, Senior Director at Jazzed, in an exclusive video interview, where he explained the site's social media features and talked about what makes them different from their parent company, eHarmony.

Jazzed is counting on the power of mobile dating, with 52 percent of their members aged at 18-34. Almost half of their new members have joined via the iOS or Android apps, where they can experience the site for free for a limited period of time. Site features include Jazzed or Not, a fun game where members can vote with thumbs up or thumbs down ratings on profiles within a search and answer questions such as "If you could be a contestant on any game show, which one would it be?" I think I'll pick Jeopardy.

Jazzed_Kate dishes dating advice on their company Twitter account with over 16,000 followers. Their service fee is $4.95 a month for a six-month membership.

Are you interested in including your social networking sites on your online dating profile? Your comments and thoughts are welcome.
