Social Media plays an important role on population insights and no one has doubts on this fact. Today, censorship is not as strong as was before and flow of information results more difficult to get controlled. However, deciding if the information received by public is good or not is a matter of subjectivity, the truth is that this material seriously effects on political and official environment.

The has taken enormous place on our life, for example social media tools have been attributed with being the key that support to motivate or structure political strong movements in lands and boundaries as many as Thailand, Iran, Hong Kong, Moldova, Ukraine, and last in the new continent Honduras, as well as the Arab Spring upsurge during 2011 and the Occupy Wall Street revolts throughout the USA which then happened.

Europe Western countries have not been seen as the exemption from such activities either. Just some months after the wide spread Arab Spring protests news, the complaints of the indignants began in Spanish boundaries, protesting the awful economic state all over the country and the rigorous decisions on politics that were being imposed. Suddenly, these protests advance to get Greece population, where the Greece’s variant of the indignants movement, (named Kinima ton Aganaktismenon) was activated in Athens the capital city at the end of May in 2011. In both nations, these movements were basically prepared and broadcasted on Facebook and, less extent on Twitter.

Nevertheless, it was not the first time in which social networks had a strong impact on Greek population and political point of view. If we take blogs as an example within the term of social network, then we can appreciate the manipulation influence of such implements to at least 2006, when news blog sites as well as Press-GR and Troktiko was starting to increase popularity in the country.

These URLS presented a combination of news, comments, rumor, and allusion, as well as incredibly stories and leaks of political shames. In spite of the reasonably limited level of internet diffusion in this country at the time in contrast with the basis of Northern Europe connection, these sites became really well-known sources of news that was often seen as being censured by the conventional media. In fact, during 2010, Troktiko, which was introduced on the blogspot.com platform, was supposedly one of the blogspot websites all over the world with more visitors, and was definitely one of well-known websites in the country by the time.

Finally, facts are under the table, if a government hopes to remain ruling has to deal carefully with information and social media. Censorship as our grandfather knew wouldn´t be able as option anymore, world is hyper connected and parties or movements with strong conviction are able to get easily into population way of thinking. Whether intentions are good or not, nowadays a group of people with ideas may result a high influence gaining followers to reach the objectives of taking governments down.
