No rips, trips or nip slips -- last night's Emmys 2012 red carpet was miraculously absent of any wardrobe malfunctions!
Backstage, on the other hand, was another story. Sofia Vergara couldn't manage to make it through the night in her stunning teal Zuhair Murad gown, which split just twenty minutes before her show, "Modern Family," won the Emmy for Best Comedy.
Vergara, who turns out to be quite the prolific tweeter (and in multiple languages, no less), posted a zoomed-in photo of her backside with the caption, "Yes!!!! This happend 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!" Several inches of zipper broke... right over her famous derriere.
Luckily Vergara had helpers on hand to fasten her back up. "20 min Modern Family won!! Dress malfuncion !!! Thank you emergency team!!!" she tweeted, getting sewn up again.
In conclusion, when we refer to a dress that is "barely able to contain so-and-so's curves," we are not joking. Some dresses are simply not up to the task.
