Hitting coaches love putting their pupils through tee work. It's by far the most boring and rote batting drill there is in baseball, but it's also the most useful. You can break down your swing movement by movement and build a strong fundamental base through quality time with a batting tee.
But did we mention how BORING that is? Not for Marisa Arriaga, though. A softball player for Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas, as reported by espnW, Arriaga's tee work has rhythm, power, and a strong sense of swag to it.
Arriaga, a rising sophomore for Cedar Hill, has serious skills that match her tee work as well. Her high school highlight video just screams I'M A FIVE-TOOL SOFTBALL TALENT, GIVE ME A SCHOLARSHIP.
She hit .487 in 28 games as a freshman last season, according to Max Preps.
Of course she did.
