Solange Knowles is kicking her modeling career into high gear!
The Brooklyn-based DJ/model/mom has just been tapped by Madewell (the hip, contemporary sister store to J.Crew) to serve as the face of its Fall 2012 campaign “Mix Well. Madewell."
Solange has showed off her flawless skin for Rimmel London, whipped her hair back and forth for Carol's Daughter and worked the runway for Alberta Ferretti--but this Madewell gig marks her first major clothing campaign.
We knew something fabulous had to be brewing after Solange showed up at J.Crew's Spring 2012 presentation and then attended the 2012 CFDA Awards with J.Crew's creative director, Jenna Lyons. The two are close friends, but there's no way Jenna could resist using her beautiful buddy in a campaign, right?
Plus, Solange's hipster-chic (read: amazing) style is just what Madewell is all about.
We can't wait to get our hands on that fall catalog. In the meantime, we'll just have to watch this behind the scenes video of the campaign shoot over and over again.
