"Sons Of Anarchy" has released a new Season 5 teaser trailer that sets an ominous, foreboding tone for Jax's reign over SAMCRO.
Set to Dan Auerbach's "Trouble Weighs A Ton," the teaser is rife with symbolism and has the feel of a dream sequence. While Jax is riding with the Sons, his mom Gemma and wife Tara appear in the middle of the road, trying to stop him. With the recently-toppled Clay looking on, Jax swerves out of their way and careens off a cliff.
Actor Charlie Hunnam, who plays Jax, previewed his character's Season 5 story arc in an interview with TVLine. “Jax has been battling for four seasons about [staying with the club or leaving], and at the end of last year, he absolutely made the decision that he was going to stay ... And if he is going to be here, he’s going to make it work. This is a much more calm, mature, practical and driven Jax, which is going to be really exciting and fun to play.”
"Sons" has made some splashy additions to its cast for the new season. "Lost" veteran Harold Perrineau, Ashley Tisdale and Jimmy Smits are all joining the show for multi-episode arcs.
"Sons Of Anarchy" Season 5 premieres on FX in the fall of 2012; no official premiere date has been set.
