Alleged Strip Club At Woman's Home Had Overpriced $2 Drinks

What a strip-off.

A woman allegedly ran an illegal strip club out of her Virginia home, but it wasn't the busts that got her busted -- it was her overpriced drinks. A search warrant shows that a tipster -- who stumbled out of suspect Sonya Fletcher's home in Suffolk on April 26 -- complained to police that there were strippers inside, and that drinks were a whopping $2 apiece. That price was apparently "expensive compared to other places."

It was the climax of a month-long investigation into the strip club, WAVY reports.

Fletcher, 36, and the man allegedly serving food and alcohol out of the house, 43-year-old Jeffrey Pope, were arrested on May 3. They were both charged with misdemeanors, but Pope was killed two weeks later in a car crash, according to Hampton Roads.

According to the warrant, Fletcher used the rented home to throw parties in which she and several other women stripped for customers. When police raided the home, they found 11 bottles of liquor, 16 cans of Bud Light, three packs of plastic cups and two "marijuana roaches."

Police also say that several drug dealers frequented the house.

Fletcher will be arraigned on June 24.
