Back in August, representatives for Sophia Grace Brownlee confirmed to Playbill.com that the 8-year-old viral sensation had been cast in the film adaptation of "Into the Woods" as Little Red Riding Hood. According to a press release from Walt Disney Studios, however, Brownlee will not play the role onscreen: Lilla Crawford, who starred in the Broadway revival of "Annie," will make her feature-film debut in Rob Marshall's "Into the Woods" production in the Red Riding Hood role.

No reason was given by Disney for the change, though that's expected. The studio never confirmed Brownlee was cast in the film in the first place.

Despite Sophia Grace's absence on the call sheet, "Into the Woods" does possess an all-star cast. Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Tracey Ullman and Christine Baranski among others. The film is set for release on Dec. 25, 2014.
