For their upcoming full-length sophomore album, St. Paul & the Broken Bones partially tapped into current events and the state of the world for inspiration. The result is “Sea Of Noise,” a record that features themes of redemption, salvation and hope.

Those topics seep into “All I Ever Wonder,” a new song with the lyrics, “I can’t tell what side I’m on / I can’t tell what’s right or wrong / We can’t ever just sing one song / Love goes hate goes now I’m left all alone.”

The video, which is exclusively premiering on The Huffington Post, finds people holding signs featuring words and phrases such as “Listen,” “Peace” and “End This Now.”

“The song explores the idea of sides ― whether political, social or economic ― and if it is possible to come together,” singer Paul Janeway told HuffPost. “We shot the video in Ensley, a neighborhood in our hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, where it was hot as hell. People were enduring the heat and it was great to see a lot of good folks making it happen.”
