Farm animals danced and greeted guests as they arrived to celebrate the 25th Anniversary for Farm Sanctuary at Cipriani Wall Street on May 14th. "If you were an animal, what would you want to be?" remained the hot topic of the night, and the animal-loving celebrity guests were eager to answer as they walked down the red carpet.
Corey Feldman, who has long been a spokesperson for animal rights, declared that he "would be a baby calf that never grew up" (an excellent choice that many would agree with!) Comedian Carol Leifer decided to go practical in her choice of a sheep so she could always keep her own coat, while funny man actor Fred Willard believed a horse was best suited for him because "they're strong, they can pull things, they could probably race if they wanted to" and they just seem so contented with life!
Animal Fair also took part in the game when we deemed actor Jesse Eisenberg a chicken for shying away from the camera. Nevertheless, he and all the other guests looked fabulous in black-tie while they enjoyed vegan food and danced the night away to singer/songwriter Nellie McKay. Kathy Freston, who gained recognition at the event for her efforts to promote cruelty-free cooking with her New York Times best-selling cookbook The Veganist, and the hot Hot in Cleveland star Wendie Malick were just two more of the celebrities who showed up to support Gene Baur, co-founder of Farm Sanctuary, and the achievements of the organization since its creation in 1986.
