'Stars Earn Stripes': Nick Lachey Faces His Fears And Climbs Down A Rope From A Flying Helicopter (VIDEO)

Nick Lachey Descends From A Helicopter On 'Stars Earn Stripes'

On this week's installment of "Stars Earn Stripes" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on NBC), teams were tasked with climbing down a rope from a helicopter in flight to take out a fuel supply. Then, they had to rappel down an eight story building and take out three more targets. Nick Lachey and his military partner were teamed up with Terry Crews and his for the challenge.

Lachey was left dumbstruck after watching Todd Palin freefall from the helicopter, but he was determined to do it for his team. That's not to say he didn't nearly quit the competition out of fear. But he stuck with it.

"When you’re in a band, even in a boy band, you become one of the squad," he explained. "This competition is no different. You don’t want to let your team down."

Unfortunately, Crews and Lachey took the longest to complete the mission and had to face off head-to-head. In this instance, it was Lachey who came out strongest, and Crews was sent home, earning $20,000 for the Pat Tillman Foundation.

"Stars Earn Strips" continues every Monday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
