Dramatic Dashboard Video Captures Trooper Saving Boy With Special Needs Choking On Chicken Nugget

Now that's roadside assistance.

New Jersey State Trooper James Hearne pulled over Sunday to perform the Heimlich maneuver on 13-year-old Julian Estrada, saving his life. Estrada, who suffers from seizures, was choking on a chicken nugget in the back of the car as the family drove through Trenton, NBC New York reported. His parents tried to help before flagging a state police car that was trailing them.

In the video above, watch Hearne go to work to dislodge the food. Meanwhile, rookie trooper Ruben Benavidez tried to calm the parents in Spanish, the Times of Trenton noted.

Estrada's mom said in the NBC story that the two officers "acted like angels."

Nice going, guys.
