Stella McCartney had a big 2012, and we think 2013 might be even brighter for the British designer. McCartney created the uniforms for Team GB at this summer's London Olympics, and she was recently given the British Fashion Award for Fashion Designer of the Year. WWD reports that McCartney was just named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to fashion, an honor bestowed by none other than Queen Elizabeth.
And rightly so. McCartney, the second child of Sir Paul, has been knocking our style socks off for 15 years now, first as the creative director at Chloé and as the head of her eponymous label since 2001. The mother of four (!) has fans in celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Kate Hudson and more. We can't blame them: Her clothes are sexy, sophisticated and animal-friendly to boot (McCartney is a famous animal-rights supporter, and uses no leather or fur in her designs). McCartney's work includes her collaboration with Adidas, as well as her signature "Fallabella" bag and the "Miracle Dress" that was spotted on red carpets on actresses like Kate Winslet, Jane Fonda and Kate Moss.
