Stephen Colbert Hits Back At Bill O'Reilly Over Microwave Auction

'Bill, With All Due Respect, You're An Idiot'

You may have heard that Stephen Colbert is auctioning off the microwave he stole from Bill O'Reilly's studio green room in 2007. Well, O'Reilly hit back at Colbert on "The O'Reilly Factor," implying that Colbert's auction -- which is ostensibly a parody of O'Reilly's auction of the notes from his President Obama interview -- was less than serious. (For the record, proceeds from Colbert's auction will go to The Yellow Ribbon Fund. You can bid on it here.)

But this implication hurt Stephen's feelings. After all, his on-air persona originated as a direct imitation of O'Reilly's style of punditry, and he's called him his "Papa Bear" throughout the show's tenure.

"I wasn't mocking you," Colbert said. "I was celebrating you, just taking some of the weight off your shoulders. Why should it always be you who celebrates you? Bill, with all due respect, you're an idiot."
