Stephen Colbert Is Horrified By John Boehner's Support Of Gay Republican

In the wake of the Supreme Court's decision not to hear five gay marriage cases, effectively making gay marriage legal in 30 states and the District of Columbia, Stephen Colbert felt like the last man standing against the onslaught of gay rights.

Even more so now that Speaker John Boehner is openly supporting a gay Republican candidate in California. What is the world coming to? It would seem that the Republicans are trying to spread a powerful new message of inclusivity, or, as Colbert paraphrased, "That powerful message, 'please forget all of our previous messages.'"

But Colbert was steadfast in his determination not to be won over by that "vast and fabulous enemy" of gays seeking basic equal rights. "You can't pray away your gay?" he said. "Well, you can't gay away my pray."

Colbert wrapped the whole segment up with an advance, Ken Burns-esque look at the civil war yet to come.
