Stephen Colbert Mocks Donald Trump's Birtherism, Mitt Romney's Struggle (VIDEO)

WATCH: Colbert Mocks Trump's Birtherism

After a two-week hiatus, Stephen Colbert returned to "The Colbert Report" Tuesday night to tackle the latest ramblings of everyone's favorite billionaire/"basketball with tooth veneers" Donald Trump and his impact on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Despite the fact that a former literary assistant who misprinted Obama's birthplace as Kenya in a 1991 author bio has come forward saying that it was an error, Trump has taken the recently released typo as new evidence that Obama wasn't born in the United States.

But Trump being a birther is nothing new, is it? What really caught Colbert's attention is how Romney has chosen to continue campaigning with Trump, most recently in Las Vegas ("Uh oh, someone's drinking coffeee tonight!") despite backlash from liberals and conservatives alike. He needs the exposure to rise in the polls, but if Romney is going to garner enough support to run against Obama, he might want to take Colbert's advice and branch out from the birthers to our nation's even more eccentric voters.

Let's just say, Romney has quite a few Sasquatch hunters and alien abductees to track down before November. Watch the video above.
