Stephen Fry is set to say "I do."
News that Fry will wed his 27-year-old partner, Elliott Spencer, surfaced after the 57-year-old comedian and "Hobbit" actor gave formal notice of the nuptials at a local registry in Dereham, Norfolk, last month, the Press Association reported.
He confirmed the news on Twitter early Tuesday.
"Stephen Fry is very happy and proud to say that he has set the wheels in motion for a wedding sometime in the future but no date has been set due to a busy work schedule," his personal assistant told the BBC.
According to the Daily Mail, Fry was spotted Monday wearing an apparent engagement ring on his left ring finger and told reporters outside his London home, "We're both very happy."
Fry and Spencer, who reportedly works as a stand-up comedian, were photographed together in September at the Quintessentially Foundation's World's Greatest Quiz Night.
