Steven Spielberg Plans To Release 'Lincoln' After 2012 Election: Does Not Want 'Lincoln' To Become 'Political Fodder'

Steven Spielberg Is Not Modest

Steven Spielberg, it seems, is not afflicted with false modesty.

The famous director plans on releasing his Abraham Lincoln biopic after the 2012 presidential election as to not affect the political world.

"The movie will be purposely coming out after next year's election. I didn't want it to become political fodder," he told the Orlando Sentinel.

"Lincoln" follows the famous president's fight to abolish slavery and end the Civil War. It imagines Daniel Day-Lewis as Honest Abe, Sally Field as his wife, Mary Todd and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as their eldest son, Robert Todd Lincoln.

Take a look at Spielberg's other influential films. Could this one top them all?
