STILLERSTRONG Supports Haiti School Through Ideas Borrowed From Other Charities

When actor Ben Stiller visited Haiti this summer, he was struck by the vitality of the nation's culture and people. Also notable was the extreme poverty clearly visible everywhere he went. Wanting to help but not knowing quite how, Stiller teamed up with Save The Children, a nonprofit organization that, Stiller was surprised to learn, is quite good at saving children.

Together they're encouraging the public to contribute to STILLERSTRONG, a campaign that aims to make vital improvements to the Cévérine Community School, in the Central Plateau region of Haiti (here's a map). The money STILLERSTRONG raises will go directly to help provide the school with a well for clean drinking water and better school supplies, as well as help local farmers grow a consistent dirth of crops on the surrounding 500 acres.

Those who want to help have several ways to contribute:

•Purchase official STILLERSTRONG headbands. Wear your pride and know that each headband you buy will help Haitian children grow and learn in the best possible environment.
Donate by credit card to Save The Children via Causecast, or donate via PayPal.
•Text STILLER to 85944 to give $5 to the program. Don't forget to respond "Yes" to the confirmation text.
•Once you've got your headband on, take a picture of yourself and tweet it with the hashtag #Stillerstrong
