'Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets': Killed At Her Gas Station Job

Twenty-five-year-old Rochelle Anderson was the victim of senseless violence, leaving her young daughter without a mother. Her story was told on the latest installment of "Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets."

Anderson's life was tragically cut short at the gas station where she worked nights. A young man came in, apparently simply looking to rob the place, and wound up beating her to death and stabbing her. Derek Domke was 18 years old at the time of the killing and reportedly using drugs. In 2009, he was sentenced to life in prison.

A local station reported at the time that the Anderson family had won a wrongful death lawsuit against him, carried out on behalf of Rochelle's daughter, in the amount of $1.8 million. Their lawyer, though, seemed to believe "the odds are “slim to none” that Domke will ever pay the judgment."

True stories of tragic crimes unfold every week on "Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets," Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on ID.
