Life is not really like what it seems. My mother used to say, Never take life seriously, nobody gets out alive anyway. But nowadays, my life is like a harmful short story. It's a heavy rain outside. Weather is so cold. Suddenly Anna woke up because baby Tommy was crying at midnight. Dogs were barking furiously outside. Snow is falling softly on the street.
Anna was thinking back to when she first met her Husband Ben at Queens's library. He gave me a red rose and magical romantic expression. Six months later, One day in central park I asked with Ben - Why do you love me? Ben replied, I love you because you love me and I feel loved by you that's why I love you so much so I hope your love for me is as big as my love for you because you love me like no one else does. His heartfelt thoughts used to make me fascinated and used to win my heart.
I used to think, He is a perfect guy for me as I thought in my dream. What made me think that everything would be picture perfect as he promised? What made me believe that? She shook her head. Oh my god, I'm so depressed now. What kinds of sin I did. What he promised to me but he couldn't deserve it. What I used to think before but what happened now? He couldn't make me happy after marriage. He took all my freedom. He was so cool guy before marriage but after marriage he became the crazy guy all the time. He made me Mad. He gave me a lot of pain.
It was 1.30 am when Anna Smith looked at her table clock on her nightstand. A cold chill would breeze in the room swaying the curtains back and forth. The rain drops would fall pounding heavily on the air conditioner. Suddenly, baby Tommy Started to cry. Frightened that Ben would wake up and yell Its ok, baby, Mommy's here," She whispered as she gently picked the baby up and rocked him.
She warmed up his bottle and sat on the rocking chair holding him close to her while she fed him. As she rocked back and forth, she started to think that maybe she and Tommy should move on and started a new life.
It was now 2.30 am and Anna was getting sleepy. Taking advantage that Tommy fell asleep, she gently laid him down in his crib and slowly crept back into bed. Tired and all, Ana knocked out forgetting to set the alarm so she can wake up and make breakfast for Ben before he left to work.
"OH MY GOD! WHAT THE HELL DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP!" Yelled Ben, AS he sprinted out of bed and rushed into the bathroom. Scared out her sleep, Anna quickly got up and looked at the time.
"Oh my goodness! It's 7.30!
She quickly ran down the stairs into the kitchen and grabbed the carton of eggs and a pack of bacon. As she prepared Ben's breakfast, Tommy started to cry. Feeling overwhelmed with the little bit of time she had, she ran upstairs to get Tommy and ran back down. She placed Tommy in the high chair and continued cooking.
Anna was almost done with the breakfast when she heard loud thumps approaching the kitchen. Ben walked into the kitchen bypassing Tommy and not showing him affection.
"Let it be the last time you forget to set the alarm to wake me up. Now I'm late for work and I have to miss paid hours. Do you not know that the money I used to maintain you and that little scrub?"
Don't call him that, he's your son," he responded back. " Because of him we can't save up money, we can't go outside like we used to. He takes up time and money!"
He started to discuss about past with Anna. Ben said, it was a great mistake that I married an idiot like you. I'm unlucky person. You took all my freedom. Anna listen carefully, since today you have to follow me everything what I say otherwise you get out. Don't tell anybody otherwise I kill you. Anna did not say anything. Anna had full of tears in her eyes.
