Su Blackwell, UK Artist, Transforms Dusty Old Books Into Beautiful Works Of Sculpture (PHOTOS)

Have shelves full of dusty old books? Me, too. But after taking a look at Su Blackwell's art, I’m guessing that the British artist doesn't. Instead of letting the dust settle, she skillfully snips and cuts until the pages of those old bird watching journals and forgotten fairytales become stunning and delicate pieces of sculptural art. Yes, I would love to have any of these books on my bedside table. I’d even promise to keep them dust-free!

I employ this delicate, accessible medium and use irreversible, destructive processes to reflect on the precariousness of the world we inhabit and the fragility of our life, dreams and ambitions.”
