'Supernatural' Renewed For 10th Season: The CW Renews 'Reign,' 'The Originals,' 'The Vampire Diaries' And 'Arrow'

The CW gave early renewals to "Supernatural" and four other dramas on Thursday (Feb. 13). "Arrow," "Reign," "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" will all return for another season in the fall, Mark Pedowitz, president of The CW, announced.

“This season we've had great success with our new hit series 'The Originals' paired with 'Supernatural,' giving us our best Tuesday nights in years," he said. Fall 2014 will mark the 10th season for "Supernatural," and at the TCA winter press tour, Pedowitz also said, "As a fan of the show, who’s seen every episode, as long as I’m here and those [ratings] still hold, God bless them, they can go as long as they want.”

The news means that "Supernatural" will reach its 200th episode. Looking at the ratings, it's no surprise that The CW renewed the only remaining holdover from The WB. "Supernatural" hit three-year highs, jumped 88 percent in total viewers in its ninth season and increased 57 percent year-over-year in digital viewing.

"Arrow", the network's most-watched series, will launch into its third season, "The Vampire Diaries" into its sixth season, and new shows "Reign" and "The Originals" will start their second seasons.

But, The CW has kept mum on other dramas, "Beauty And The Beast," "The Carrie Diaries" and "Hart of Dixie." What do you think about the renewals?
