Susan Boyle is enjoying plenty of firsts this year.

In March, it was announced that the Scottish crooner would be making her big-screen acting debut in the British period drama "The Christmas Candle;"and this week, it's been revealed the "Britain's Got Talent" star has filmed her first on-screen kiss.

"It was lovely," the 52-year-old told the Sun of her smooch with actor James Cosmo, who plays her husband in the film. “I didn’t know about the kissing scene when I signed up, but I wasn’t complaining."

Boyle added that she wouldn't reveal anything more about the kiss lest she "embarrass him.”

According to the Scotsman, the YouTube singing sensation is also kicking off her very first live tour this week. The tour -- which will be held in cities across Scotland -- is expected to sell out.

“She is really looking forward to her first solo live tour," a spokesperson for the singer said, according to the news outlet. "She is really excited… and is really enjoying the process building up to the shows."

Earlier this year, Boyle said she hoped this first tour would lead to bigger opportunities in the future.

"If this works well, then the world is my oyster and 2014 will be a global tour," she said, according to Herald.ie.
