You use energy every moment of every day. The average American home consumes more than two to three times more energy than a home in Europe. The way we currently use abuse our own energy consumption puts a massive strain on our planet's natural resources. This is a problem and the only solution is changing the way we consume energy.

Activist and adventurer Rob Greenfield thinks we can manage our consumption better. In his new series, "Sustainable Living", Rob shows that the detrimental effects of energy consumption and how we can be more conscious. In his travels across America, Rob made a commitment to live off the grid by charging his electronics with solar panels, sleeping under the stars, cooking over fires and in doing so he used 1000 times less dirty energy than the average American.
