New 'Law & Order: SVU' Clips Show Benson After The Latest Attack

Will Benson Lie Again?

In the last episode of "Law & Order: SVU," Benson was tied up, forced to play Russian roulette with psycho William Lewis, and traumatized when he shot himself.

The series returns from its three-week break on Wednesday, April 30, in an episode that picks up after the dramatic incident. The good news is that Lewis is dead, but the bad is that Benson must not only recover from what happened (she was almost raped this time), but also must convince Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB) that she didn't kill Lewis -- it was suicide. Benson already admitted to lying about previous attack on Lewis in court, so now who's going to believe her, even if it's the truth?

In a new clip from the upcoming episode, "Post-Mortem Blues," Amaro rushes to the hospital to check on Benson after she's rescued. Seeing Benson's face covered in blood is upsetting, but of course, "SVU" pushes it further. In a second preview of the episode, IAB questions her about Lewis' death and continues to torment her by refusing to believe her story. They claim that if she did kill Lewis in self-defense they could excuse it and close the case. Will Benson lie again to put an end to the case, or will she stick to what really happened this time?

"Law & Order: SVU" returns Wednesday, April 30 at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
