Three men were stabbed at Saturday's Swedish House Mafia show at the Milton Keynes Bowl in Buckinghamshire, England.
The three separate incidents did not result in any deaths, though police said two men were hospitalized (a 23-year-old suffered a punctured lung and another 24-year-old was released after receiving a cut to his head and arm). The third victim was treated at the venue.
Swedish House Mafia is the world's most popular house DJ group and is made up of Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello. The DJs recently announced that they would stop producing music and touring under that moniker. The Milton Keynes show was billed as their last-ever U.K. gig.
NME quotes an official as saying the incidents appear to have been isolated. The police were "overeall very pleased with how the event passed off."
Saturday's violence is more troubling in context. This is the second time in a week that stabbings have occurred at a Swedish House Mafia concert. A 22-year-old man was arrested at the group's Dublin show on July 7 after allegedly stabbing four people. Another five were also the victims of knife and/or broken bottle attacks. In a separate incident, a young man died of a drug overdose.
After the Dublin show, the DJ trio posted a statement on their Facebook, claiming they were unaware of the incidents that happened in the crowd but would cooperate with authorities as needed.
