Sweetlife 2013 Photos: Rain, Music And Mud

LOOK: Sweetlife's Muddy Day

COLUMBIA, Md. -- Last Saturday's Sweetlife Music and Food Festival featured headliners Phoenix, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeah's and mud. Lots of mud.

The all-day festival featured all of the elements of a summer musical extravaganza, but with spring weather, which meant the crowd at the Merriweather Post Pavilion endured sporadic rain showers at three separate stages for nearly 10 hours.

The annual May showcase is no stranger to rain. The 2011 edition featuring The Strokes had similar, wet conditions.

The Sweetlife Festival is produced by Sweetgreen, a D.C.-based salad chain.

Hopefully the weather will be more agreeable for the Virgin FreeFest, which is the last big Merriweather show of the summer festival season.
