'Switched At Birth': Bay And Daphne Have A Heart To Heart (VIDEO)

Daphne And Bay's Big Breakthrough On 'Switched At Birth'

On Monday's episode of “Switched At Birth,” Daphne and Bay had a heart-to-heart that allowed them to -- wait for it -- have a civil conversation!

"I’ve just been kind of jealous of you getting closer to my mom," Daphne (Katie Leclerc) admitted. "Welcome to my world," Bay (Vanessa Marano) replied.

"I kissed the coffee guy, Jace," Daphne continued. "What? The British one?" Bay asked.

"He’s British?" "Yeah, very."

TV Fanatic's Carissa Pavlica called the scene a “good start” to Bay and Daphne understanding one another’s lives. “The hour ended with Daphne and Bay talking like actual friends!" Pavlica wrote. "Maybe this was what they needed all along - to be put in each others shoes to see what life would be like if they hadn't been switched. Granted, they still have quite a way to go to understand that, but it seems like a good start.”

Fans took to Twitter to share their excitement about this breakthrough in Bay and Daphne’s relationship, saying they love it when the two get along and act like friends, and even sometimes like sisters.

"Switched At Birth" airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
