Sydney Leathers: Anthony Weiner Talked Mayoral Hopes During Phone Sex

This is exactly why you don't mix business and pleasure.

The woman at the center of the new Anthony Weiner scandal admitted that he talked about his mayoral ambitions during phone sex.

“He would talk about how he felt everything would be okay from his first scandal," Sydney Leathers told the Daily News in an interview published on Sunday.

According to Leathers, Weiner bragged about his campaign finances and even told her during one conversation: “The people of New York love me, you understand, they love me."

Weiner had been the frontrunner in the New York City mayoral election when news broke that he had been yet again sexting women who weren't his wife. In 2011, Weiner resigned from Congress after he accidentally tweeted an X-rated photo meant as a private message to another woman.

Following the new scandal, Weiner's campaign took a HUGE hit: he dropped to 4th place in the polls and his campaign manager quit after less than a week on the job. This week, his communications director sparked outrage when she called a former intern a "slutbag."

Still, Weiner insists he won't quit the race.

"Quit isn't the way we roll in New York City," he said in a video posted to YouTube.
